Have yourself a merry little Christmas, by 6th year

6th year students are already working, practising, singing, performing, learning, polishing ... their Christmas carol.  This is an important one, as they are going to sing it in front of all the school the last day of the term.  It is always an emotive moment watching our 6th year students singing their carol knowing this is going to be the last time they are going to be with us at Infantil or Primaria ... but this is life.  Once again, Christmas is around the corner, so have yourselves a Merry little Christmas!

Once more, Christmas is coming and we are working some Christmas carols in English at school.  Students are listening to these popular carols in the English lessons and believe it or not, they are learning them and having a lot of fun.  So, here you are these carols so you can listen and karaoke them at home all together.  Have fun and ... Our recipes

Are you hungry? I am sure you will be at the end of this post.  Students at 5th year have worked on a delicious project for a few days, and the result is yummy yummy!  They have shared with all of us their most popular recipes at home, and have put them all together in a massive and tasteful poster.  So now, tell me, aren't you hungry? 

A Christmas Carol

Students at Cicle Superior went to Teatre Bartrina last Tuesday 10th December to watch A Christmas Carol, based in the novel with the same title by Charles Dickens.

This is one the most famous and popular works by this English writer, who is at the same time, one of the most important writers in the English language.

Rocking around the Christmas tree with 4th year

Here you are the 4th year students practising their Christmas carol for the festival we are having next Friday to welcome Christmas holidays.  They are singing "Rocking around the Christmas Tree".  Aren't they cute? Yes, they are!

A calendar for the New Year!

Dear students,

Look what I have found in Reus! An English calendar for the new year 2014 made by a local company.  I include a few pictures where you can have a look at it and decide whether you ask your parents to buy one or not.  It can be a great idea for a Christmas present!  You can get it at Llibreria Galatea and Llibreria Gaudí ... and learn a bit of English everyday, just looking at a calendar!

What a Halloween Night!

Cicle Mitjà students went to the Teatre Bartrina last Tuesday 26th November to watch the theatre play WHAT A HALLOWEEN NIGHT! performed by The Performers Ink Company.  

This play was a full English language experience for our 3th and 4th year pupils, as it was totally spoken in English.  

At the same time, they could enjoy the atmosphere of being in a real theatre place, as Teatre Bartrina is.

Recipes for kids

5th year students are working on recipes.  They have got a few of them both in the Student's Book and in the Activity Book, and they can cook them at home under parents supervision.  But if any of them feels like experiencing some more cooking, here you are some websites where they can find lots of recipes to be cooked by children...and parents!    Enjoy your meal!

Animals sounds

6th year students have worked in animals sounds today on their Fridays Workshop.  They have listened to Ylvis song The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?) and have learnt what sounds different animals do in English, but couldn't guess the sound of the fox ... can you?

Workshop at 6th year

6th year students are enjoying a reading and comprehension, writing and listening workshop on Fridays at "complementària".  After a couple of months since the beginning of the school year, they have been working on some texts and in a couple of songs.  Music is a great way to learn a language, so it is worth it to take it into account from time to time.  Click on the pictures on the sides of this text so you can find these two songs with their lyrics for all the family to practise it at home.  They are We Are The Champions by Queen, and Sigh No More by Mumford and Sons.  Let's karaoke!!
