Breathe

Hi there!👋

Here you are an interesting video📹 about how children describe their emotions and feelings😃😒😖😡, and how they manage to control them.  It is very descriptive, and it can help us think on how we deal with our emotions and feelings, too.  And how we manage to control them, as well.

Tongue Twisters

Hi there!

Children at 4th year worked some tongue twisters in a lesson and they studied and learned them at home.  Next day, they said these tongue twisters in the classroom and here you are the result.  It's never easy to learn tongue twisters, especially in a foreign language.  But I think they did a great job! Click on the names to watch their videos and have fun!

Well done kids!

Animal Project

6th year students have carried out a project about animals.  They have searched for information about an animal they had previously chosen.  Then, they have written a description and to finish with, they have exposed their project.  And that last part is what we are showing you all in this post.
Please, feel free to click on the names to enjoy our animal experts videos. Grrrrr!!!!

P.S.: Most of the boys and girls in this group have been my students for the last 9 years. Others, have joined ARCE school along Primary Education.  In a few days, they are going to put an end to all these years together and they are going to start ESO.  It's been a pleasure having you all, teaching you English and guiding you on these first years at school.  Thanks to all of you.  All the best!

The House that Jack Built, by Aliona

Photos
Video
Aliona delighted her classmates and teacher with this storytelling activity in an English lesson.  She had prepared this popular nursery rhyme at home with her mum, and she had even drawn the different stages of the story.  Once at school, she asked me for permission to carry out the activity and ... I couldn't say no!

Pony Boy by P4

P4 students are here to delight you with their own version of Pony Boy, lullaby written by Bruce Springsteen.  This is one of the songs we sing at the end of every lesson to chill out before saying good bye.  And after a year and a half at Escola ARCE, it seems they have learnt it quite well.  Fancy watching the video and singalong? Let's go!

PS: Focus on the children and forget about the poor singing qualities of the teacher.

Shark in the Park

One of our 6th grade students offered her classmates a great storytelling time.  I have to say storytelling is not an easy activity to carry out.  To act out the story at the same time it is read or explained, so that the listeners enjoy and understand what it is all about, is a difficult task.
I invite you to watch the video clicking on the picture that goes along with this text and enjoy as much as we did in the classroom with this hilarious and funny story called "Shark in the park" by Nick Sharratt.

Hello, good morning!

"Hello, good morning! How are you today?"
Here you are the first words students listen when I enter the classroom. And after some time practicing their answer, they have finally completed the process of learning it. That is to say, now they say "Hello, good morning! I'm fine, thanks!"
Now it's time for you to watch them and let them practise at home ... are you ready? Let's go!

A Christmas Carol

Students at Cicle Superior went to Teatre Bartrina last Tuesday 10th December to watch A Christmas Carol, based in the novel with the same title by Charles Dickens.
This is one the most famous and popular works by this English writer, who is at the same time, one of the most important writers in the English language.
Here you can see a few pictures of our students at the theatre and if you click on the title of the play above, you will be able to enjoy a short version of the same work in a video.

ABC...

This is a post not only for the kiddies, but also for everybody at home. Spelling is quite important in the English language, so knowing the Alphabet is essential. There are many strategies and techniques to learn anything by core, and music is one of them.
Here you are a video of Sesame Street where Elmo gets some company to sing the ABCs. I wish you like it as much as I do! Turn up your speakers and sing along with Elmo. Just click on the image and ... A B C, A B C ...
